Admission Process
Admission to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is done through multiple entrance examinations:
1. B.Tech Programs: Through AMU Entrance Examination (AMUEEE) conducted by the university. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with minimum 50% marks.
2. MBA Programs: Through AMU Management Entrance Test (AMUMET). Candidates need a Bachelor degree with minimum 50% marks.
3. B.A. LLB: Through AMU Law Entrance Examination. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks.
4. Medical Programs (MBBS/BDS): Through NEET UG score followed by AMU counselling.
5. Other UG/PG Programs: Through respective AMU entrance examinations conducted department-wise.
The admission process includes:

- Download admit card
- Appear for entrance examination
- Result declaration
- counselling and document verification
- Seat allotment and fee payment

Selection Criteria
Selection is purely based on merit in the entrance examination. For B.Tech programs, the ranking is based on AMUEEE score. For MBA, AMUMET score is considered. Medical programs use NEET UG score. There is no management quota at AMU as it is a central government university.
