About MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery

MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) is a 5.5-year undergraduate medical degree program (including 1 year of compulsory rotating internship). It is the primary medical qualification in India that enables graduates to practice as licensed medical doctors. The curriculum covers anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, pathology, microbiology, forensic medicine, community medicine, and clinical rotations across various departments including medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, ophthalmology, and ENT.

Eligibility Criteria

10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories). Must qualify NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted by NTA. The admission process is through MCC counseling for AIQ seats and state counseling for state quota seats. Age requirement: minimum 17 years as of December 31 of the admission year.
