About B.Des - Bachelor of Design

B.Des (Bachelor of Design) is a 4-year undergraduate program that develops creative and analytical skills in design thinking, visual communication, product design, UI/UX design, fashion design, interior design, and industrial design. The curriculum covers design fundamentals, sketching, color theory, typography, user research, prototyping, materials science, and design management. Students work on live projects, portfolio development, and industry internships throughout the program.

Eligibility Criteria

10+2 from any recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Admission is through national-level entrance exams like NIFT Entrance Exam, UCEED (IIT Bombay), NID DAT, AIEED, or state-level design exams. Portfolio review and design aptitude tests are also part of the selection process at many institutions.
